Indian Society of Gastroenterology

The Indian Society of Gastroenterology (ISG) was established in 1960 and serves as the leading body for gastroenterology professionals in India. With over 3800 members and 19 state chapters, ISG focuses on promoting education, research, and awareness about gastrointestinal and hepatic disorders. The society organizes annual congresses, including international events, academic programs such as the Young Clinician Program, Gastroenterology Young Masters, Master Classes, Evidence-Based Gastroenterology, Train the Trainers and Gastroenterology Review for Physicians. ISG also formulates national guidelines and engage into dialogues and advocacy on gastrointestinal health.
